Content of climate protection conceptsAs part of climate protection concepts objectives and opportunities as contribution for climate protection should be demonstrated. Energy saving through reduction of energy use and also energy supply through higher efficiency help to reduce CO2 emission and an amount of fossil fuel.
The energy supply and thereby the combustion of fossil fuels are associated with exposition of CO2. Due to limited reserves of fossil fuels in the future environmentally friendly energy supply paired with successful climate protection could just be presented with the use of renewable energy.
Development of a climate protection conceptIn general the development of climate protection concept is composed of 3 modules.
Within the status analysis all energy relevant data of the considered balance area will be examined, acquired and evaluated. This includes structural data, power balance, heat balance, traffic balance and finally based on this the determination of CO2 of footprint.
Subsequently opportunities for use of wind energy, photovoltaic, solar thermic, biomass / biogas, geothermal energy and energy savings and energy efficiency measures can be developed in the potential analysis.
As part of catalogue of measures fields of action with appropriate measures will be defined.
Climate protection concept of LauchhammerIn cooperation with university Lausitz the ifn-group developed a climate protection concept for the city Lauchhammer.
The status analysis included the determination of end energy consumer in the area of household, trade and commerce, service, industry, traffic and municipality. The areas household and industry have the biggest amount.
Base on this determination the end energy based territorial balance could be audited for the city Lauchhammer.
In order to be able to assess the theoretical, technical, economical and mobilisable potentials for energy supply, the areas wind energy, photovoltaic / solar thermic, biomass / biogas, geothermal energy, energy saving potentials and energy efficiency had been examined. This happens among other things based of the regional energy concept Lausitz-Spreewald made by the regional planning consortium Lausitz-Spreewald.
Subsequently various scenarios had been evolved for development of energy consumption in the area of power, heat and traffic.
Finally fields of action had been described, to demonstrate opportunities and measures as contribution for reduction of CO2 emission.
Optimisation and energy efficiency measures with significant effect on energy costs are associated with this proposals. First saving potentials could be revealed. More saving potentials will be examined and evaluated in further investigations.
